For families seeking core academics, faith-based community, real-world preparation and a wide range of meaningful experiences, the three-full-day program provides exceptional overall value.
Important Scheduling Note
Families choosing two half days select their days based on the classes offered. The same two days must remain for the entire school year to support lesson planning, staffing, continuity, and materials. 2-Half Day Program selections can be Monday/Tuesday, Monday/Wednesday, or Tuesday/Wednesday.
Thursday Tutoring Option
Thursday tutoring may be available for families seeking additional academic support. Times, subject availability, group sizes, and pricing is available by request.

VCSS meets Monday through Wednesday, with a tutoring option on Thursdays. Full-day and half-day pathways allow families to participate in The Village Community School of Sarasota while preserving homeschool flexibility.

Tuition at The Village Community School of Sarasota does more than cover time in a classroom. It makes possible a thoughtfully designed learning experience where strong academics, faith formation, meaningful relationships, practical skills and real-world application come together.
VCSS is a self-funded faith-based homeschool enrichment program. Tuition allows us to reserve the teachers, instructional time, facilities, curriculum, materials and hands-on resources needed for each enrolled student throughout the school year.
Due to our program being intentionally small and carefully staffed, every enrollment decision affects class planning, teacher assignments, supplies and the experiences we can provide. Paying tuition on time helps VCSS maintain consistency, prepare responsibly and give students the quality of experience families expect.
What Tuition Helps Provide
Your tuition supports the full VCSS learning environment, including:
Qualified teachers, instructors and classroom support staff
Level-based instruction in Math, Reading, Writing and Language Arts for full-day students

Course offerings and experiences may vary from semester to semster based on student needs, instructor availability, seasonal opportunities and the annual curriculum plan.
2026-2027 Tuition Breakdown
Tuition Deposit and First Semester Payment Schedule
To reserve a student's placement for the upcoming academic year, a non-refundable enrollment deposit is due no later than June 1st. This deposit is applied toward the total first semester tuition.
The remaining first semester tuition balance is due in full by August 15th.
Tuition Discount
If the total annual tuition is paid in full by August 15th, a 10% discount on the annual tuition will be given.
Second Semester Tuition Payment Schedule
Second semester tuition is due in full by December 15th.
Monthly Payment Plan Option
The monthly payment plan option is only available to families paying out-of-pocket by cash, credit card, or debit card, and are not utilizing StepUp For Students PEP or UA Scholarship funding for tuition.
The June 1st deposit serves as the first of nine equal tuition installments for the nine months of instruction. Under the monthly payment structure, eight equal payments remain after the deposit.
Payments are due on the 1st of each month for the following month of instruction starting in August and ending in March.
Monthly payment arrangements do not reduce the total annual tuition obligation.
Monthly payment eligibility, dates and terms are subject to the enrollment agreement and VCSS approval.
Enrollment and Materials Fees
Tuition is separate from Family Enrollment and Student Supplies Fees.
Family Enrollment Fee: $250 per family, annually
Student Supplies Fee: $150 per student, per semester
If you decide not to move forward after completing the Enrollment Packet, your application is not accepted or you are placed on a Waitlist, then your fees will be refunded with the exception of the $100 deduction for the Application Processing Fee. The Application Processing Fee helps our school pay for the administrative time necessary for processing Initial Admissions Applications, Introduction Phone Calls, Enrollment Packets, and Family Interviews.
