Initial Application Form
Thank you for your interest in The Village Community School of Sarasota! To begin our conversation each family must complete this short application to help us confirm alignment in mission, expectations, and community culture. We are a Bible-based, hands-on learning environment focused on real-world skills, strong character, and family partnership.
Please Note: submitting this form does not guarantee enrollment, it’s simply an introduction. Upon submitting this Initial Application, a member of our Administration Team will reach out to you to setup up a Phone Interview to answer any questions you may have and explore program fit.
VCSS is a homeschool co-op that functions like a micro-school. We bring together like-minded families who want to educate, not indoctrinate, their children.
Our Program Includes:
Core academics: Math, Reading, Writing, Language Arts
Village Practical Skills: Carpentry, Mechanics, Gardening, Entrepreneurship + Enterprise, Home Stewardship + Family Life, and more.
Village Workshops: Chicken Raising + Veterinary Studies, Financial Stewardship, Natural Medicine + Wellness, and more.
Electives: These change every year and include subjects like: Art, Music, Foreign Language, Dance, PE, Cooking and more
Home Extension (required): At-home study that helps solidify that week’s concepts to prepare students for the following week’s lesson.
Grade Groupings: VCSS utilizes grade groupings, not traditional grades, to meet students individually. Students take a placement assessment and are placed into a grouping for Math, and a separate grouping for ELA. This allows us to meet each child where they are and allow them to grow at their pace.
Parents are encouraged to be involved, learn alongside their children, and partner with us.
Enrollment Fees:
After submitting your Initial Application, a member of our Administration Team will reach out to setup an Introductory Call. To secure your child’s registration, all Enrollment Fees are due when submitting your Enrollment Packet after the Introductory Call. Enrollment Fees are non-refundable, unless your child is not accepted into the program or you are placed on a Waitlist, then your fees will be refunded with the exception of a $100 deduction for the Application Processing Fee.
